i won! i won!

you guys, i actually won something! you know those awesome giveaways that really cool blogs do? the ones that you enter all the time but never think you're going to win? well, i actually did!  my friend, meg, hosted a giveaway on her blog for a new phone case from her awesome etsy shop, vintageprintage. and i won! it probably has to do with the fact that i entered the giveaway 12 times, but who cares?

i bought this case from meg's shop when i finally broke down and got an iphone a few months ago.  i love it and get so many compliments on it! it's really sturdy and has saved my phone from a few close calls. it's also easy to get on and off.  

















The only problem is that I don't know which one to choose now!  Here are my favorites:

i'm back!

it seems like forever since i've blogged, and it is so good to be back! i am really happy with my clean new look and especially love my new header! i learned a lot during the redesign and it was great to have such a talented designer to work with! i highly recommend Mallory Freed to anyone in the Portland area looking for graphic design help.

this week look for posts about some exciting news, my new favorite albums, recent shopping finds, and of course, my belated Oscar recap.

What I Love

Naomi of Rockstar Diaries did her happy lists a while back, but i never sent mine in.

Jylare --supercute new mom to Scarlett and maker of gorgeous headbands-- requested love lists and i turned one in. i cannot tell you how delighted i was to see my love list up for all blogland to see!

one of my goals for this year is to blog more (and better), comment more, and in general, get myself out there blogwise. being featured on such a beautiful blog like jylare's was a good incentive for me to keep going and working hard. thanks, jylare!


i'm working on some ideas for a blog redesign as well as learning how to be a better and more efficient blogger. this includes learning how to do hyperlinks!

Surprise in the Mail!

A blog that I faithfully read, Marta Writes, also has a store that sells fun crafty things like quote journals and cards. I missed out on the mini journals the first time around, so when Marta posted about a limited-time offer of these adorable journals, I snatched one up. It came a few weeks ago, beautifully packaged in polkadot tissue paper. The design of the journal was a surprise but I love it! As someone who loves the idea of keeping a journal but literally falls into bed every night, it is perfect. I have just enough energy to fill in the blanks and feel like I documented something about my day.


Yes, I did take a picture of it on my bed and no, the quality is not very good. So what?
